Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant asked Lernert & Sander to make a photograph for their documentary photography special, with the theme food. The solution was a transformation of unprocessed food into perfect cubes of 2,5 x 2,5 x 2,5 cm. A simple and clever visual input in the debate of processed vs. natural food.

Louise Fili is “Made for New York”

The flawless execution of Langone Medical Center’s “Made for New York” campaign left me drooling on the subway platform the day the ads showed up in my station. 

Here’s the thing. This kind of pastiche is incredibly overplayed—especially in New York City—but the team at Louise Fili Ltd. puts so much love and sweat into their historical-lettering reenactments that I'm perfectly content to see them again and again.

And who among us wouldn’t covet the opportunity to hire a sign painter to apply our own custom lettering onto glass in gold leaf?

Richard Mosse's Stunning Photos of the Congo

Until the end of May, one of our favorite photographers, Richard Mosse, has an exhibition called “The Enclave” at the Museum of Modern Art in Louisiana. Mosse captures the horrible civil war in eastern DR Congo in a striking, poetic, and beautiful way, using an outdated military surveillance film that turn everything that's green, pink instead. And as you may know, we love pink!

Carl Kleiner's Truly Unique Photography

Carl Kleiner is one of my favorite photographers. When I first discovered his colored paper work, I immediately fell in love with it. He has this ability to lift a project up and make it truly unique, like his work for the FLOS lighting brand, where the photos of lights look like works of art.
