If there is one project that I’ve seen recently that made me say, “I wish I had done this,” it was Jordan Metcalf’s lettering for Boston magazine’s “Best of Boston 2012” issue. This typography feels unlike anything I’ve ever seen. He masters the drop shadow, gradients and textures—creating visually striking dimensional typography.

Runway Mural: Letman and Gijs Frieling

I’ve been a fan of Job Wouters (a.k.a Letman) for a long time, and his work is a personal favorite of mine. He recently collaborated with Gijs Frieling on a mural for the runway show of Dries Van Noten’s Men’s Fall 2012 collection during Paris fashion week. There was also a handful of garments within the collection that featured their art.
