If you made me boil my design envy down to one project over the past year, there’s only one that comes to mind… Physical Fiction! Samuel Cox and Justin LaRosa have taken my favorite thing as a grown-up (letterpress) and combined it with my favorite thing as a child (legos) to make the coolest letterpress idea this century.

Every print is absolutely beautiful, but this behemoth print entitled Baddies stands out among the rest (maybe just cause of its sheer size at 18" x 40"). This typographic monster was for an exhibit at Giant Robot last March called Game Over, a group show of video-game-themed art.

Legos are the new lead.

Where’s that red one gonna go?

Make sure to check out their online shop. I’m a proud owner of the Pixelroni Pizza print.

Those prints are cool and somehow I missed them. I also like those Lego pieces and you can tell how old I am because I don’t even remember my son having anything like them let alone me back in the olden days. Very nice work all around!
