My favorite San Francisco design duo, MacFadden and Thorpe, never fail to make me cringe with design envy—this time, with their wall installation at the 2012 Brno Biennial in the Czech Republic, part of the “Work from California” exhibit. Inspired by California’s optimism, the hand-painted wall installation combines my love for environmental design and experimental typography.
