Cooper Center, “Racial Dot Map”

Only in the age of computers could you make a map where every person in the United States makes an appearance. The Cooper Center’s “Racial Dot Map,” announced in July, does just that, using modern mapping technology to portray an ancient, central issue of human society.

Dot maps on the web have been steadily evolving since Eric Fischer introduced them a few years ago. We envy their simplicity and clarity.
