Bill Moran

BILL MORAN of Blinc Publishing is a third generation letterpress printer, graphic designer and professor of printing history at the University of Minnesota. Blinc Publishing is a multidisciplinary branding firm, which was founded in 1996. Since 2001, Bill has worked for the Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum in a variety of roles, including the writing and publishing of his book Hamilton Wood Type, A History in Headlines. He currently serves as the museum’s artistic director, responsible for all aspects of merchandise, annual programming and the museum’s visual brand. As a professor of design, he teaches Travels in Typography, examining the history and evolution of the printed word. The class includes an annual study abroad session, where students visit printing studios and rare book libraries in Madrid, Venice and Mainz. Bill’s work has been published and exhibited internationally.
