The story behind creating the “greatest album cover of all time”...

As a child of the age of the LP, Dark Side of the Moon is by far the best album ever. And it’s 40 years old this year.

Yes, I know there are endless surveys of “the best album, band, album cover, lead guitarists, etc., etc.”—but this cover by Hipgnosis and illustrated by my mate George Hardie is just plain genius.

So what’s your best album cover of all time?

(And no, CDs aren’t allowed.)
