If you can’t tell, I really love outrageous (or just plain nice) printing, and this poster takes the cake. Like Minded Studio in Australia partnered with printer Avon Graphics to produce this beauty, which uses more crazy processes than I can even count!
Luca Ionescu is a very talented letterer, and his pieces set off my envy barometer fairly regularly. His studio’s logo would make Ed Benguiat proud. What I really like about this piece is that in all its excess (crazy ornamented type coupled with crazy printing processes including multi-depth embossing and foil stamping), it somehow doesn’t feel over the top. I was lucky enough to grab a copy of this baby and see it in person, and it will grace the walls of our new apartment.

I think all designers wish they could use these crazy print processes more often, but even if we could, I’m not sure if we’d use them as well or appropriately as Luca has here!
