Evernote is a note-taking service, accessible through web, smartphone, tablet and desktop/laptop.

My preparation for Design Envy was managed through Evernote. As I considered the items I wanted to include, I added them to Evernote, along with the relevant imagery. I use a computer at home, a separate computer at work and always have my iPhone with me.

The magic of Evernote is how things I write in one place appear across all of them, and the tool just works. There are a number of cloud-based services I considered writing about (Dropbox and Netflix in particular), but the sheer supportive utility of Evernote is unmatched.

Ed. note: Does Evernote sound familiar? Last month Phong Tran wrote about Evernote’s flash-card iPad app, Evernote Peek.

Evernote is a great app. I have it on my desktop and phone. It comes in great when traveling since I snap a lot of inspiration photos of typography, I can then catalogue them for later reference.

(Sure I also use it for client meetings too…)

I have EverNote on my iPad and the frustration I am experiencing right now that they do not allow offline notebook access. I always bring the iPad with em and ahve wrote a lot with it but when I need to access past notes im stucked with having only my most recent notes saved on the iPad. Am I wrong about this?
