Cover for the book Eye of the Times: Centennial Images of Taiwan / 2011
I recently learned about Wang Zhi Hong’s work. He is a book designer out of Taiwan and has a wonderful eye for white space and design.
Wang’s portfolio is very strong, and this is just one project out of many amazing pieces. I love how the layers of paper are attached to the cover, and then it has another wrap that secures it in place when the book is shut. This book is Eye of the Times: Centennial Images of Taiwan / 2011.

I really love how Wang thinks beyond the flat surface and brings a scrapbook aesthetic into a mass-produced piece. Granted the client had to swing for it. I would not mind owning a copy of each one of his printed pieces, they are all so beautiful!
