Look at these maps by Jacqui Oakley. LOOK AT THEM. I just want to grab a few Gogurts and a Luna Bar and spend the day walking across them.

Jackie really showcases all of her talents in these beautiful illustrated maps for worldly clients like National Geographic and Cunard Cruise Lines. She has a special way of using traditional, impeccable brushwork and then layering her pieces with texture, more imagery and a distinctive color palette to create work that is entirely her own. I just love the way Jackie uses color. I am scared of using color in my own work, so to see someone who can just throw it around all WILLY NILLY like this is really something I admire.

Beautiful work! Wonderful typography and illustrations, I also admire the use of color but feel especially drawn to the South America map, possibly due to the more limited use of color.
