One of the first images to go viral.

We all know that social media is changing things, but social media is nothing without that first individual who takes action. Graphic designer Ronny Edry (from Israel) posted an image online, hoping to communicate with the people from Iran. And they responded.

And all of a sudden we begin to question who is really fighting this war, who is promoting it and what can be done to make it end—all in a time when a large number of the citizens in both countries want nothing to do with it.

One of many responses from the other side of the border.

Listen to the full story from the creator.

A simple message, clearly stated, well-received, repurposed and spread. A simple message with a lot of potential, it is now up in the air just how much it can change things for the better of these two countries.

I wish all design was used for causes as important and as meaningful as this one.
