Let's Fly a Kite
No secret to those that know me...I love handmade books and zines, and I love collaborative projects. Especially collaborative projects focused on highlighting ordinary objects (such as a kite).
Breanne Trammell's Let's Fly A Kite workshop rings all of the right bells in my brain. She conducted her first kite workshop at the University of Arlington last year and now she is at it again, but this time she is teaming up with The Bureau for Open Culture and The Wassaic Project at MASS MoCA to fly kites and make books in late June during the Wilco Solid Sound Festival.
This project is collaborative, multidisciplinary and facilitates a shared experience which results in energetic and innovative work based on the shared event. BRAVO! BRAVO! Hurray for participation! Hurray for innovative results!
