I was introduced to the Swiss designers Cybu Richli & Fabienne Burri of C2F earlier this year during their visit to Chicago. They had converted their small temporary Chicago apartment into a pop-up gallery to preview their large-format posters. I was (as was everyone around me) simply blown away. I left the apartment wishing my brain functioned like theirs. Their innovation seemed so effortless.
Most recently, C2F has created a poster for the Lucerne Protestant Church celebrating its 150 year anniversary. What’s most enviable about the project, outside of the extraordinary design, is the amount of beautiful concepts they printed! In total there are 30 different versions with unique layering and color combinations.
Like this poster, most of their work is incredibly detailed, bold and full of action. They are able to capture the elegance and structure of Swiss design while still being wildly experimental, leaving me in utter envy and awe.
