In an age where screens are difficult to avoid, it makes sense that more and more visual identities are incorporating motion/animation. The branding by Mark Bulford (a.k.a. Brand Nouveau) for the 2011 TEDxVancouver event on “The Frontier” is a great example of this type of work. It’s not completely clear from his site what is driving it, but the mark animates in a sort of 3-dimensional chart based on ever-changing data. Click-thru to see it in action.
