The thing that I like about the work done by les éditions volumiques (Étienne Mineur and Bertrand Duplat) is that it brings together the world of books and the world of electronics. It reminds me of the interactive, choose-your-own-adventure books of my childhood, where you get to choose the ending.

Their first finished game, the Balloon paperApp, is really a ludic technological exploit. I, myself, did an internship in Étienne’s studio, and I got a look at how much he enjoyed discovery. It’s a tendency that is now being confirmed, and I am very happy for him—and happy to see this project progress. To combine a physical object with a digital component, that’s something I can believe in.
